Mortal Sin‘s new album should probably have been called „What doesn‘t kill you makes you stronger!“
It‘s been used before many times, so they chose „An Absence of Faith“ instead. Once hailed as the next Metallica, Mortal Sin have become legends in their home country Australia, having been inducted into the Kerrang! Heavy Metal Hall of Fame in 2005 and being the only Australian band to have played with the big five of Thrash - Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth & Testament on tours in Australia and overseas.
With such an illustrious past stretching back to 1986 beginning with their debut album ‘Mayhemic Destruction’ and the follow up ‘Face of Despair’ Mortal Sin climbed every peak and dived every depth to fi nd the right formula for a new album and a whole generation of new fans. ‘An Absence of Faith’ is a rollercoaster ride, with enough twists & turns to jolt even the staunchest of heads. From the Single ‘Out of the Darkness’ to the nine minute epic ‘Tears of Redemption - Lebanon Part II’ - and lyrics covering everything from politics, religion, child abuse & relationships, Mortal Sin have pulled a classic out of the hat for 2007.
If you like your music loud, fast and heavy with loads of melody, you MUST listen to Mortal Sin „An Absence of Faith“, you‘ll be doing yourself a big favour! For fans of Megadeth, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel & Metallica!
